The grand Khan Mansion buzzed with activity as family members gathered in the living room. At the center sat Zyan Khan, a successful businessman known for his sharp mind and emotionless expression. At twenty-nine, he had everything—wealth, respect, and power—but no interest in marriage.
"Zyan, how long will you keep refusing every proposal?" his grandmother asked gently.
"I don't have time for marriage," he replied without looking up from his laptop.
His grandmother sighed. "Life isn't only about business."
Meanwhile, across the city, Dua Sheikh finished teaching her last class at a neighborhood school. Her students surrounded her with handmade thank-you cards before running home.
"You always make us smile, Miss Dua!" one little girl said.
Dua smiled warmly. "And you all make my day brighter."
That evening, Dua returned home to find her parents waiting for her with nervous expressions.
"Beta," her father began softly, "today we received a marriage proposal."
Dua blinked in surprise. "For... me?"
Her mother nodded. "The proposal is from the Khan family."
"The Khans?" Dua whispered. "One of the richest families in the city?"
Her father smiled. "They've heard about your kindness and values. They want to meet you first. No one will force your decision."
At the same time, Zyan's grandmother placed Dua's photograph on the table in front of him.
"Just meet her once," she said. "That's all I'm asking."
Zyan glanced at the photo. A young woman with gentle eyes and a warm smile looked back at him.
For the first time in years, he paused.
"I'll meet her," he said quietly.
Neither Zyan nor Dua knew that this single decision would change the course of both their lives forever.
