The room fell completely silent.
Gauri stood near the window, confused by Aryan's serious expression.
Gauri: “Aryan, what happened? Why did you call me here?”
Aryan took a deep breath. He knew the truth would break her heart, but hiding it any longer would be worse.
Aryan: “Gauri… there’s something you need to know about your family.”
Gauri frowned.
Gauri: “My family? What are you talking about?”
Aryan slowly walked toward her.
Aryan: “The man you call Dad… he isn't your biological father.”
Gauri froze.
For a moment, she couldn't understand what she had just heard.
Gauri: “What… did you say?”
Aryan: “He raised you, and he may love you in his own way… but he isn't your real father.”
Gauri's eyes filled with tears.
Gauri: “No. That's impossible. My dad has always been there for me.”
Aryan gently held her hand.
Aryan: “I know. And I'm not saying that he isn't your father in the way that matters emotionally. But there is a truth about your birth that you were never told.”
Gauri pulled her hand away.
Gauri: “Then who is my real father?”
Aryan looked at her, his expression filled with pain.
Aryan: “That's the part of the truth I haven't told you yet.”
Gauri stared at him through her tears.
Gauri: “Aryan… tell me everything.”
To be continued…
